INVENTORY: ARTIST ASSISTANT _ GRAPHITE & COLORED PENCIL ON PAPER, 15 X 19.75", 2010
I completed this drawing at the end of my time working as a studio assistant to a handful of artists in upstate New York. It pictures an assortment of tools that I employed in the execution of my duties. The collection is a playful recognition of how the position of artist assistant on large properties in rural NY differs from parallel positions in the city. The layout of icons within the drawing mirrors player-inventory screens that are ubiquitous within the RPG genre of video games.
